What is a Kinde team?

Magic's Kinde teams provide an introduction to soccer for area kindergartners.  Volunteer coaches use a mix of traditional and non- traditional games to teach soccer fundamentals, self awareness and team concepts.  In house festivals provide a nurturing environment for competitive play.

Team Formation

  • Registered players are grouped by school and neighborhoods within the Memorial High School attendance area.  Friend request accepted.
  • Roster size - 10-12 players.
  • Magic Soccer accepts established youth teams into their league.   Contact magicsocceradm@gmail.com for details.
  • All teams require volunteer coach and team manager.

Team Leadership

**Magic Soccer is a volunteer organization that relies on parent volunteers to organize and lead teams.

  • Coach
    • Parent volunteer coaches lead weekly practices and games.
    • No soccer experience is necessary.
      • Attendance at the ('Y1') Coach Clinic from Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association.(Required) More information on the coaching requirements can be found on MAYSA's website
    • Risk Management.
      • All coaches will to get their risk management pass, which includes a background check. (Required)
      • Safe Sport Certificate.  Safe Sport is an educational requirement for anyone working with youth.  (Required)
    • Information will be sent by the Club Administrator after teams are formed and staff is assigned.
  • Manager
    • Team Manager assists the coaching staff with team communications and roster management.
    • Risk Management.
      • All managers will to get their risk management pass, which includes a background check. (Required)
    • Information will be sent by the Club Administrator after teams are formed and staff is assigned.
  • Director
    • The Assistant Director of Coaching will be on sight during practice to facilitate practices sessions, answer questions and provide feedback.  Practice plans will made available.

Coach and Managers Meeting

All Kinde Coaches and Managers should attend the pre season informational meeting.   At this meeting we will discuss expectations for the season, you will receive equipment for your team (soccer balls, cones, flags) and you will have a chance to ask questions.  (The Y1 clinic follows immediately afterwards at 6pm.)

Program Fees

  • The fee is $65 per player, and it includes 6 weeks of playing, the Kinde Jamboree, a size 3 soccer ball, and a full uniform.
  • Shingaurds are required but not provided.  Athletic Sneakers or Soccer Specific Cleats required but not provided.

Competition

Logistics

  • Games are played Saturday mornings or early afternoons, or Sunday afternoons.
  • Wexford Park is the primary locations for Kinde practices and games.
  • The season runs from late April to mid-June (no games Memorial Day weekend).
  • Schedules will be given to coaches in early- to mid-April.

Format

  • 3v3, with no goalkeepers.
  • Coaches assist players on the field.
  • No referees.
  • Teams will play concurrent games on side by side fields.
